9 NOVEMBER PROGRAMME: From Research to the Field: Latest Developments in Walnut Cultivation and the Viability of Hazelnut Cultivation in the Basque Country
26 October 2026
9 November 2026
15:00 – 17:00
The agricultural sector is changing and, with it, new and exciting opportunities are emerging to make our farms more profitable and sustainable. Since 2019, NEIKER and ADR-Añana have been working side by side on a strategic project: to demonstrate that nut trees are a genuine, viable alternative with a bright future in Araba.
The trials we launched in Zambrana — where we analysed different varieties, planting densities and pruning systems in detail — are already yielding key data.
As we do every year, we want to share these results with the entire sector so that it has all the technical information it needs before taking the plunge into these alternative crops.
We invite you to attend the 2026 Nut Tree Conference, an unmissable event for the sector which will take place on 9 November in Villanueva de Valdegovía.
- AIMED AT: professionals in the agricultural sector, public authorities, companies and management centres.
- ORGANISED BY: ADR Añana and NEIKER
