Towards intensification of conifer production through somatic embryogenesis-based multivarietal forestry

The objective of this project is to develop a strategy to secure genetic resources of valuable varieties, reducing dependence on the availability of seeds while allowing the massification of the best genotypes in breeding programmes. To this end, the project emphasises the development of innovations in the field of somatic embryogenesis.
This project is jointly funded by ERANet – ANR (France), FNR (Germany), MINCyT (Argentina), MINECO-AEI (Spain), MMM (Finland), VINNOVA (Sweden) and the European Union H2020 Programme. The countries and institutions that make up the consortium are the following: Sweden (UPSC), France (FCBA and INRAE) Finland (LUKE), Spain (NEIKER), Germany (HUB) and Argentina (INTA).
