Development of a novel bioremediation system for treating soil contaminated with lindane
Development of an innovative method for the bioremediation of soils contaminated with lindane.
Specific objetives:
To design an innovative mesocosm for the bioremediation of soils contaminated with lindane through biostimulation and bioaugmentation.
To identify new bacterial strains with potential for the degradation of lindane.
To bioaugmentate the lindane-contaminated soil using the newly identified bacterial strains.
To biostimulate the lindane-degrading strains in the mesocosm.
To assess the impact of the bioremediation process on the soil microbial communities.
