General objective:
To evaluate and improve susceptibility, resistance and tolerance to Paratuberculosis based on genomic selection contributing to the health and productivity of dairy and beef cattle.
Specific objectives:
- Proof of concept of the evaluation and categorisation with respect to susceptibility, tolerance and resistance to Paratuberculosis, applied to the genotyped population of the Friesian breed in Spain and transfer of the tool to CONAFE.
- Expansion of the Friesian Reference population and validation of the tool in animals of other breeds and productive aptitudes.
