General Objective
To identify and characterize, using microbiological and metagenomic approaches, the main antimicrobial resistances (AMRs) present in sheep insemination centers on both sides of the border in order to prevent their spread.
Specific Objectives
- To identify the main bacterial species and antibiotic resistance present in male sheep of the different Pyrenean breeds present in artificial insemination centers in the region, establishing possible improvements for reducing antibiotic use.
- To identify the main bacterial species and antibiotic resistance present in the reproductive tract of inseminated ewes of the Pyrenean breeds Rasa Aragonesa, Latxa Cara Negra, and Manech, determining their possible spread and effect on fertility.
