Optimising the application of phytosanitary products by combining artificial intelligence and the use of drones
- Project start: 10/10/2022
- End of project: 10/10/2023
- Funders: Basque Government
- Budget: 33,452.92€ (63.27% financed)
- Partners: UAGA, ARABADRON, ZERUAN and NEIKER
To evaluate in commercial plots in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country, sown with different crops, the opportunities offered by drones to optimise the application of phytosanitary products and the detection of weeds and phytopathogens.
The project has been divided into 4 phases:
Phase 1: Inventory of the most common affections detected by remote sensing in extensive crops.
Phase 2: Identification of areas affected by weeds and phytopathogens using drones and subsequent mapping using Artificial Intelligence.
Phase 3: Generate classified maps of presence or absence of affections compatible with the treatment carts.
Phase 4: Measurement of the dispersion of the drift of the treatment application (water/dye) in extensive crops with different sizes.
