AGENDA APRIL 9: Grapevine nurseries field day: The Origin of Quality in the Vineyard

Viveros Villanueva y Vitis Navarra grapevine nurseries and Distillery of Estella (AGRALCO).
We invite you to join us on this technical field trip to Navarre, where we will have the opportunity to learn firsthand about different key processes in the wine sector.
During the morning, guided by their technical staff, we will visit two vine nurseries in Larraga: Viveros Villanueva and Vitis Navarra. Both have over 100 years of history and will allow us to observe in situ the main stages of grafted vine plant production. We will also learn about the availability of plant material —rootstocks, varieties, clones, and massal selections— as well as some of the most innovative projects each nursery is developing. It will be an excellent occasion to exchange impressions, resolve technical doubts, and reflect more confidently on the planning and future of our vineyards.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Estella-Lizarra distillery (Agralco), where they will show us the different phases of management and energy recovery of grape and wine by-products. Additionally, we will gain firsthand knowledge of the different products obtained and the extraction processes associated with each one.
In short, this is a day designed to expand knowledge about our wine sector and strengthen the relationship between producers and technicians.

08:30 AM | Bus departure from the parking lot of “La Huerta Vieja” Restaurant (Laguardia)*.
10:00 AM – 02:00 PM | Guided visit to Viveros Villanueva and Vitis Navarra. Production processes and innovation in grafted plants.
02:00 PM – 03:00 PM | Lunch.
03:30 PM – 05:00 PM | Visit to the Estella distillery (AGRALCO). Extraction processes and by-products.
05:00 PM – 06:00 PM | Return trip to Laguardia*.
*Depending on the number of registrants and their origin, other travel alternatives may be considered (departure location, coordination between attendees, etc.).
