AGENDA 8-9 APRIL: Annual Meeting of the European Institute of Planted Forest – IEFC

The European Institute of Cultivated Forest (IEFC) is an international non-profit association representing the main actors of the forest sector in Europe. Its aim is to promote the sustainable management of cultivated forests, encourage research and innovation, and facilitate the exchange of knowledge among its members. The IEFC works to ensure that cultivated forests make an optimal contribution to the European bioeconomy, providing environmental, economic and social benefits.

In order to showcase the latest results of work and discussions in the field of cultivated forests, the European Institute of Cultivated Forests (IEFC) has organised its annual seminar. This time the results of discussions and presentations on topics such as Regional Forest Health Monitoring, private funding opportunities for forest research and other relevant topics will be presented. Proposals for future collaborations and projects will be shared, giving the opportunity to make new, alternative or complementary proposals.

This seminar is part of the actions for the promotion of knowledge and collaboration in the cultivated forests sector.

This year, the sessions are being held in Donostia – San Sebastian, with a working day and a field visit.

The day will start with working sessions and the General Assembly on 8 April and will end with a field visit on 9 April.
