Development of an RNA-microarray for the assessment of the impact of contamination on soil health
To design an RNA-microarray for the assessment of the impact of contamination on soil health.
Specific objectives:
To select microbial species; genes and probes for the microarray.
To design and manufacture the microarray.
To test the microarray with samples from metal contaminated soils characteristic of the Basque Country (northern Spain).
To develop physiological, enzymatic and molecular biological indicators for the assessment of soil health and, in particular, for the evaluation of the impact of agricultural practices on such health.
