Asier Uribeetxebarria Alonso de Armiño

TRAYECTORIA

Asier Uribeetxebarria PhD has graduated as a Biologist at the University of the Basque Country (UPV / EHU) in 2010. He completed the master's degree in "Biodiversity, Operation, and Ecosystem Management". He carried out research support work in "Ecology and Botany" department of the UPV/EHU. During the years 2014-2015, he worked at NEIKER analyzing spatial data in vineyards using GIS tools. In 2019 he obtained the Doctor title the University of Lleida, specializing in the soil variability analysis and sampling improvement by using auxiliary information obtained from non-invasive sensors. Since 2019 he has worked at NEIKER as a researcher in the Plant Production and Protection Department. He is working improving harvest prediction through the use of remote sensing information. The other way of working is the optimization of the nitrogen fertilizer dose through the use of Precision Agriculture techniques.
