Raquel Marquinez Ramirez

TRAYECTORIA

Raquel Marquinez is an expert in plant pathology. Her training includes a Bachelor's degree as a Biologist from the UPV, specializing in microbiology, and a Master of Science from Queen's University of Belfast. Since her return, she provided her services in the laboratory of the Basque Government Seed and Nursery Plant Service, until it was transferred to Neiker. In it, she continues to provide her services as Head of the Plant Analytical Laboratory. She works in analysis for seed certification and in general diagnosis. Since 2011, she is responsible for the registration of new potato varieties for OEVV and CPVO. She has collaborated in several INIA research projects. She was part of the Laboratory Working Group from 1991 until her disappearance. Since 2011 it belongs to the Group specialized in Detection, Diagnosis and Identification of the Spanish Society of Phytopathology (GEDDI-SEF). Since 1992 she has been a member of the European Association Potato Research, acting since 2008 as the Spanish representative in said association.
