TRAYECTORIA

Dr. Iker Martín is a technician at the Department of Conservation of Natural Resources, NEIKER, and a member of its Soil Microbial Ecology Group. He has: (i) a Bachelor of Science in Biology (Genetics) (Complutense University of Madrid, 2005), (ii) a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Cellular Biology and Genetics (Complutense University of Madrid, 2007), and (iii) a PhD in Biology (Complutense University of Madrid, 2010). At the moment, his main research interest is the utilization of microbial molecular tools for the assessment of soil health. He has ample experience on the utilization of biomolecular techniques (DNA/RNA/protein assays, sequencing, cloning, genetic library construction, real-time PCR, DNA microarrays, PCR-DGGE, site-directed mutagenesis, hybridization, RFLP, etc.).
