TRAYECTORIA

June Hidalgo graduated in Environmental Sciences at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and obtained an interuniversity Master's degree (MS) in Environmental Agrobiology (UPV/EHU - UPNA). She began working at the Basque Centre for Climate Change (BC3) as a research assistant in the REBECOM project, led by David Moreno Mateos, where she participated in the study of the recovery of forest ecosystems degraded by anthropogenic activities over a 500-year period. Later, she began her doctoral studies at Neiker BRTA, where she is currently working with Carlos Garbisu and his team of Soil Microbial Ecology in the study of different remediation strategies for the recovery of soils contaminated with organic, inorganic and emerging contaminants (antibiotics). Moreover, she is expanding her study area to the problems generated by antibiotic resistances and their exposure routes through the soil, from organic amendment to the crop.
